Retired Restaurant Owner Heals with ActiGraft and Returns to His Favorite Hobby – Cooking

Luciano (“Lou”), a 69-year-old man, suffered a fall that resulted in three non-healing wounds on his legs.

After unsuccessful treatment and visits to various clinics, Lou was sent to Valley Wound Care Specialists, where he was offered a new, natural way to heal chronic and acute wounds – ActiGraft.

In February 2019, Lou suffered a fall that resulted in three cuts on his legs – one on his left, and two on the right.

In May 2019, Lou visited a wound care center to address the non-healing cuts. The scabs that formed over his cuts were removed, which caused the wounds to grow at an out-of-control rate.

Soon after, Lou discovered that he developed an infection – MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a type of bacteria that is resistant to several antibiotics. Lou was prescribed antibiotics, but even still, the doctors were unable to heal his wounds.

INTRODUCING ACTIGRAFT

To try to save her leg, Dr. Wahab suggested ActiGraft®, a new treatment option that uses a patient’s own blood to create an autologous blood clot tissue to heal chronic and acute wounds.

With one application over the course of (8-weeks), Mhel’s wound was ninety-five percent healed. Throughout the treatment, Mhel saw constant progress in the wound – it started to heal, and she no longer felt any pain.

“Once we got to the blood graft [ActiGraft], everything started healing, everything started closing up.”

PASSION FOR LIFE

Within six to eight weeks, Lou’s wounds were healed, and now, he can get back to his favorite activities: cooking, gardening, woodworking, and swimming.

“It was a great feeling – once your pain starts going away, once you start getting a good feeling that you see your wounds healing – it is the best thing in the world!”
